Echo of Freedom is a nonprofit based in New York, with a presence in Mauritania. Founded in May 2025, we protect civil rights, strengthen democratic participation, and support development in Africa and around the world. We started because too many communities are left out of the conversations that shape their lives.
We work face to face and online. We attend public events, speak with neighbors, collect signatures, and listen to people about the problems they face every day. We also share stories and publish information so that voices that rarely reach decision-makers can be heard.
Joining Echo of Freedom means standing with those voices. Members help organize events, spread awareness, support campaigns, and bring community concerns to officials and the press. No experience is needed, only a willingness to care about your community and take part.
Our work rests on one belief: every person deserves equal treatment, a fair say in how they are governed, and the chance to build a better life. Join us, invite others to join you, and help make that real in your community.
Our Work: Art

Impact
Since our founding in May 2025, Echo of Freedom has raised awareness through education, democracy campaigns, art, and research. Our field work supports reform and the economic and political empowerment of fragile states, along with laws that strengthen women’s rights, empower young people, and protect children, including a ban on corporal punishment. We also organize peaceful demonstrations that bring people together to be seen and heard, and our campaigns carry overlooked voices to the public, to officials, and to the press.
Events
Our events take place internationally.
