Research human rights issues in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, especially in the conflict-affected east, and prepare an annual country report with shorter updates during the year. This is a freelance role, paid per report at a rate agreed in advance. Salary is negotiable, in the local currency of the applicant’s country. Researchers work from where they are safe, and we never ask anyone to take unnecessary risks.
Requirements: strong French and English, a writing sample, and the ability to verify information and cite reliable sources.
